Deferred Retirement Option Plan
Dear Member:
One of the first things you need to do to help you make the decision to select
the DROP option is to request an estimate of both options (retirement and
deferred) to make a comparison. You can do this in several ways;
Use the online benefit estimate request form to have the estimates sent to you
in 3 – 5 days by email, fax or 1st class mail. This is the fastest method
because the information is automatically sent to the unit that prepares the
estimates. Here is the link: estimate request
Complete a request form in our office or mail or fax it to our office to have
the estimates sent to you in 4 – 8 days by email, fax or 1st class mail. Once
the form is received, it is imaged and sent to the unit that prepares the
estimates.
Call our office to request the estimates and they will be sent to you in 7 – 10
days by fax or 1st class mail. Once the request is received, the form is
completed, imaged and sent to the unit that prepares the estimates.
Should you decide to select the DROP option, you will need to schedule an
interview with the Retirement
System to complete retirement and DROP forms. You can schedule an
interview several ways;
